IQALUIT — Nunavut is reporting one new case of COVID-19, the territory’s first since June.
The case is in Rankin Inlet, a community of about 3,000 people in Nunavut’s central region.
Acting chief public health officer Dr. Rosann Seviour says the person infected travelled to Rankin Inlet from outside the territory and was symptomatic before travelling.
The person tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday night and was flown to a hospital in southern Canada.
