Mobile home destroyed by aggressive fire, occupants escape unharmed
NANAIMO — A family home in central Nanaimo was completely destroyed by fire Saturday evening.
Fire Rescue crews were called to the 2300 block of Barclay Rd. just after 5:30 p.m. and arrived to a fully involved house fire.
Capt. Earle Ten Have said flames were coming out both sides of the modular home which made fighting the fire tricky.
“It’s in a tin can so it’s hard to get water inside when there’s metal siding all over the place, it’s tough.”
