UPDATED: 81-year-old man with dementia located safe and sound

UPDATE: Bob Emre has been located safe and sound.

EARLIER: NANAIMO — RCMP along with search and rescue crews are conducting a search for a missing 81-year-old man.

Bob Emre was last seen around 1 p.m. at the Home Depot parking lot in north Nanaimo.

Emre suffers from dementia and there are concerns for his safety given his condition and age.

He’s described as 5’11 with a slim build and shaggy grey hair. Emre was wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans when he was last seen walking his brown Jack Russell-Bassett hound cross.

There is no picture of Emre currently available.
