COVID-19 cases confirmed on Vancouver Island rise slightly
NANAIMO — The number of COVID-19 cases has risen again after a brief respite.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry confirmed there are now 72 confirmed cases of the respiratory virus on Vancouver Island. It’s a rise of three from 67 on both Monday and Tuesday.
Across B.C. there are now 1,066 total cases, with 606 people fully recovered and no longer requiring isolation.
Dr. Henry did confirm an additional death, bringing the death toll to 25.
