MAY 28, 1932 ~ OCTOBER 18, 2018 (AGE 86)
We are broken hearted to announce the sudden passing of Editha Hildegard Krupek (nee Niemeyer), our Wife, Mom, Nanny, Great Nanny, on Thursday October 18, 2018.
Editha was born in Berlin, Germany on May 28, 1932 to Arthur & Hildegard Niemeyer who predeceased her, along with her brother Waldemar and her son Peter Arthur.
Edith is survived by her husband Horst, with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage in February and her three sons, Werner (Margo), Harry (Lynn) and Horst (April) and her daughter in law Linda. Also surviving Edith are 10 grandchildren, Bruce, Michelle, Kendra, Erin, Matthew, Amanda, Stephen, Alicia, Eric and Krista and eight great grandchildren, Austin, Ayrton, Aiello, Abbie, Keenan, Dawsen, Nathaniel & Tessa.
Edith immigrated to Canada joining Horst and bringing three young sons Werner, Peter, & Harry to live in Franklin River Camp in 1958. Their forth son Horst was born the following year.
She had a kind heart and in her younger years enjoyed her bowling league and playing Cards or Bingo with her friends. In later years she treasured going for walks, saving goodies for family dogs and going on outings for lunch and Sunday Smorgasbord!
The family wished to thank the Port Alberni Paramedics, Members of the Beaver Creek Fire Department and next-door neighbors for their efforts.
Cremation has taken place. No service by request.
