MARCH 31, 1963 ~ OCTOBER 22, 2018 (AGE 55)
Todd Vincent Stirling, of Port Alberni, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2019 at the age of 55.
Todd worked for years at Errington Cedar, a job he was totally dedicated to as the rip saw operator. He was always proud that he had the record for the most wood being cut in one day and how he never took one sick day in all the years he worked there.
Gardening was Todd’s passion. Every year he planted a huge garden and built more and more beds for flowers that filled his yard. He created a yard where deer would even come by to feed on the odd vegetable and relax. When not working or gardening, Todd could be found taking part in yet another of his passions – hiking. Scaling the highest peak of Mount Arrowsmith 13 times – and on some occasions he was hiking by himself!
My brother, you were so innocent and precious. You were loved by those who met you and cherished by those who knew you. You loved life and your life was too short of a time. I will miss you dearly and I will think of you and love you forever, and I hope someday I will see you again. You were the best brother anyone could ever have!
Those wishing to honour Todd’s memory may do so by making a donation in his name to a local SPCA to provide food and toys for those in their care.
