JANUARY 24, 1942 ~ JANUARY 1, 2019 (AGE 76)
It is with saddened hearts the family of Robert (Bob) Allan Courser announce his passing on January 1, 2019, at West Coast General Hospital.
Born in Victoria on January 24, 1942, Bob grew to become a true jack of all trades. From running ship yards in Victoria and Gabriola Island, creating some of the best fishing vessels on the West Coast, to welding, installing floors and making wine in Ucluelet and Port Alberni, fixing hot tubs or just helping out a friend, Bob became a true master of them all.
An avid fisherman, both commercially and for recreation, Bob always knew the best fishing holes.
Predeceased by his parents Dale and Ruth Courser, Bob is survived by his children:
Trish, James, John and Ed (Jody, his grandchildren Cassandra (John) Gage, Brandy and Alisha also his brothers Richard (Cinda), Darrell (Diane), Gary (Rose) and David, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In his last few years, Bob’s greatest pleasure was visiting the dog park with his babies.
Bob will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and his beloved pets.
As per his request there will be no service, cremation has already taken place with interment to follow.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the many medical professionals that have assisted Bob throughout the course of his illness.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be placed at the animal rescue agency of your choice.
