MARCH 25, 1948 ~ JANUARY 29, 2019 (AGE 70)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather, Frank Laminski.

He was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Margaret, brothers Peter and Joe, and sister Roseanne Hantel.

He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, of 49 years; children Todd, Tammy (Ole), Tracy (Steven) Rymsha, grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, Chase and Lucy, sister Mary Jean (Ted) Martin, brother Ben, sister-in-laws Mona and Shirley, brother-in-law Norbert Hantel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank was born and raised in Port Alberni.  After working many years at Alberni Pacific Division, he then started his own electrical maintenance business called Bear Electric.  Frank’s happy place was at his cabin on Sproat Lake.  He especially enjoyed it when family gathered there.  Frank has left his family and friends with many happy memories that will keep them smiling for a long time.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers of Ty Watson House, the home care nurses, Dr. Wendy Johnsen, Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Smit.  Also a special thank you to all our family and wonderful friends for their generosity and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on February 9, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion – 4680 Victoria Quay, Port Alberni.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Franks memory to Ty Watson House.
