NANAIMO — The Clippers split their pair of most recent games.

They beat Prince George 2-1 on Nov. 20 and lost 5-1 to Cowichan Valley on Nov. 22.

In the game against the Spruce Kings they gave up an early goal but fought back to tie the contest in the second period with a goal from Steven Agriogianis.

Travis Walton won the game in the third period with a deflection goal.

It was his team leading fourth game winning goal of the season and extended Nanaimo’s win streak to a season high eight games.

That set up a clash of the best two teams in the Island Division with the Capitals in the final game of the week.

The Clippers were down 2-0 early but a goal by Robby Drazner on the power play brought the game back to a one goal deficit before the intermission break.

In the second period Cowichan scored a pair of power play goals to take the lead, and then capped off the scoring with a penalty shot goal in period three.

Clippers highlights from Nov. 20 and 22.

Next up for the Clippers is their third extended road trip of the BCHL season.
