Nov 18, 2019 | 5:46 PM

NANAIMO – The path to victory has been different each time lately, but the Clippers have built up a seven game winning streak.

The team played three games in four days from Nov. 13 to Nov 16.

It took 10 rounds of a shootout for Nanaimo to earn a 5-4 victory in their first game of the week against Alberni Valley.

The Clippers built up a 4-1 lead only to have the Bulldogs fight back and send the game beyond 60 minutes.

Sean Donaldson and Tyler Williams both had a goal and an assist in the victory while Kyler Kovich scored the winner in the longest shootout game Nanaimo has had since the new tie breaking format was brought back last year.

In their Friday game Nanaimo traveled to the Q Centre and skated away with a 1-0 win.

Sean Donaldson had the game’s only goal as he kept his balance after being tripped and deked out former Clipper Blake Wood.

It was one of the prettiest goals of the season.

Nanaimo netminder Zach Bennett was sensational in the game making 48 saves for his third shutout of the season and his second in a row.

Wrapping a busy weekend, the Clippers played host to the Trail Smoke Eaters.

They put forth a total team effort en route to a 4-1 win.

The defining moment of the game came on a first period hit by Tim Washe on the BCHL’s leading scorer Kent Johnson.

That hit led directly to a breakaway converted by Liam Ryan.

Williams, Devon Mussio, with his first of the season, eacb added goals in the victory.
