NANAIMO — Lottery balls are falling the right way for people in Nanaimo, who are seemingly continually hitting it rich.
The BC Lottery Corporation reported “significant” lotto luck in the harbour city in recent memory, including substantial winnings of $5 million and half a million this summer alone.
The biggest Nanaimo based jackpots over the past few years were Lotto 6/49 prizes of $21 million in 2016 and just under $10 million last year.
Thirteen separate prizes of at least half a million dollars since 2012 were earned on tickets bought in Nanaimo
