RCMP question Nanaimo City staff; police say ‘woman arrested’
NANAIMO — RCMP members were at Nanaimo City Hall Thursday investigating an incident, NanaimoNewsNOW has learned.
A source with direct knowledge of the situation, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed investigators were there and members of City staff have been interviewed related to an incident at City Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
CUPE Local 401 president Blaine Gurrie confirmed to NanaimoNewsNOW his members were among those questioned by RCMP but would not say why or what it was related to.
When asked, Nanaimo RCMP deferred comment to Island District spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Douglas.
