NANAIMO — Mount Benson can be a difficult climb, but it didn’t pose any challenge for young Nanaimo students getting out of the classroom and into nature. 

Fourteen students from a Mountain View Elementary class made quick work of the challenging hike and impressed reporter Ian Holmes so much, it’s his favourite story of the year.
