Clippers doubled up 6-3 by Capitals
DUNCAN – Two separate sequences of two goals against in less than a minute were Nanaimo’s downfall in a 6-3 loss to the Capitals.
It was a solid road start for the Clippers but they found themselves down 2-0 on goals by Michael Montambault and Ayden MacDonald.
Montabault’s goal bounced off a skate and in, while MacDonald’s was a controversial wraparound on a power play. There was an argument that there may have been a high stick earlier on the play.
Nanaimo took the play over for the rest of the period and Tristan Crozier scored on a good pass from Tate Coughlin.
