PARKSVILLE — One person has been killed in an early morning highway crash.
RCMP report the single-vehicle incident occurred around on Saturday, July 25 at around 4:30 a.m. along the Island Hwy. W in downtown Parksville, near the Alberni Hwy. intersection.
BC RCMP’s Dawn Roberts told NanaimoNewsNOW the vehicle’s driver was the only person involved.
“Upon attendance it was determined the sole occupant was deceased. BC EHS and Fire Rescue did attend, as well as the BC Coroner. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and speed is being looked at as a possible causal factor.”
