Jays second baseman Clement leads AL players in fan balloting for all-star game
NEW YORK — Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Ernie Clement leads all American League players in fan balloting for the 2026 all-star game in Philadelphia.
Clement moved ahead of Houston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez in the latest voting update from Major League Baseball on Monday.
Clement, who has a .292 average with seven homers and 28 RBIs over 75 games, has received 2,054,130 total votes, MLB said. The 30-year-old has a healthy lead on Ezequiel Duran (531,182) of the Texas Rangers.
Two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers leads all players with 2,310,735 total votes.
