B.C. man facing 17 more charges in child exploitation case spanning U.S., U.K.
SURREY — A Metro Vancouver man arrested last December and charged with offences of possession and distribution of child-exploitation material now faces an additional 17 charges, including 12 counts of child luring.
Police in Surrey, B.C., say 41-year-old Kevin James Belcourt was charged Monday and also faces two counts of making sex abuse exploitation materials involving a child and two counts of publishing intimate images without consent.
Investigators say they are still in the process of identifying more victims by working with other police departments across Canada, in the United States and in the United Kingdom.
Belcourt remains in custody and will next appear in court on May 4.
