Gillies scores twice as short-handed Canada beats South Korea 3-1 in FIFA Series
CUIABÁ — Vanessa Gilles scored two second-half goals to lead short-handed Canada to a 3-1 win over South Korea on Tuesday in a FIFA Series women’s soccer match.
Evelyne Viens also scored for Canada, which played most of the match with 10 players after Jade Rose was sent off in the 27th minute.
Kim Shinji scored for South Korea.
Canada, coming off a 4-0 win over Zambia last Saturday, opened the scoring when Cloé Lacasse set up Viens in the 23rd minute.
