MONTREAL — Montreal Canadiens defenceman Alexandre Carrier will be out for two to four weeks with an upper-body injury, the NHL club announced Tuesday.

Carrier logged just over 19 minutes in Montreal’s last game, a 3-1 win at Carolina on Sunday.

He has seven goals and 15 assists and is averaging 19:05 of ice time over 73 games this season.

Carrier’s injury leaves Noah Dobson as the Canadiens’ only healthy right-shot defenceman.
