Child sex material bust sees Nanaimo area man jailed
NANAIMO — A local man with no prior criminal record received a jail sentence after three dozen images of exploited young girls were discovered on his phone.
Cody James Clark, 38, was jailed for four months, followed by two years’ probation following an extended Friday, Jan. 16 sentencing hearing at Nanaimo Law Courts.
Despite lengthy objections filed from his lawyer, a judge also ordered Clark to be listed on the National Sex Offender registry for the next decade.
Clark pleaded guilty last March to possessing child sex abuse/exploitation material.
