However today, Thursday, Dec. 25, marks a day for many to pause, be with family and celebrate the festive season with those around us.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or anything else this time of year, our Nanaimo-based newsroom wishes you a happy and festive holiday season and a safe and prosperous new year.
