Clippers sink Capitals in Larioza’s first game as captain
NANAIMO — Nathan Larioza will never forget his first night wearing the ‘C’ for the Clippers.
He scored his first career goal in his 67th game in Nanaimo and his team beat their division rivals from Cowichan Valley 4-1.
Larioza was named captain just a day before the game after ex-captain Carson Lesiuk was dealt to Powell River.
The team rallied around Larioza and got stellar netminding from Eliot Seguin-Lescarbeau who was named first star with 33 saves.
