‘Something I take a lot of pride in:’ Island product wearing ‘C’ for the Clippers
NANAIMO — The Clippers have stayed local in choosing their captain for the 2025-26 hockey season.
Duncan native Carson Lesiuk took over the role from the recently graduated Connor DeTurris.
After wearing an ‘A’ as an assistant captain last year, Lesiuk will be the leader in the Nanaimo dressing room this season.
“I was fortunate to get to play with Connor last year so I was able to learn from the best. It’s something I take a lot of pride in being from just down the island. It’s cool to have family and friends support me and I’ve had lots of messages these last couple weeks and it’s been really great to see.”
