Montreal police investigating homicide in Saint-Léonard
MONTRÉAL — Montreal police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning in the city’s Saint-Léonard borough.
A 911 call around 4 a.m. alerted emergency services to a man lying unconscious on a city street. Police found the man had an upper body injury, possibly caused by a sharp object. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the death was a homicide, although the circumstances were still unknown.
The victim was a 52-year-old man, and his death represents the 23rd homicide in Montreal so far this year.
