NANAIMO — An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman who failed to appear in court in Nanaimo recently.

Amie Jolene Kloss, 36, was due in a Nanaimo provincial court related to an incident on March 7, 2025, where it’s alleged she was involved in a motor vehicle incident before fleeing the scene.

She’s charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance, flight from police, failing to stop and a Motor Vehicle Act infraction of driving while prohibited.

Kloss is described as a Caucasian woman, 5’3″, 150 pounds, with brown/blonde hair and brown eyes.

The photo provided is recent.

Her current whereabouts are unknown, and she is also wanted on unrelated warrants from the Ladysmith and Oceanside RCMP, including nine counts of breaching probation.

Prior criminal history includes assault with a weapon charges in late 2021, with subsequent additional charges for failing to appear in court.

She was also found guilty for wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, theft and using counterfeit money in the Ucluelet area in June 2022.

Kloss was jailed in 2019 for numerous run-ins with the law including ramming a stolen pickup truck into an Oceanside RCMP vehicle in Coombs.

She was also on the receiving end of bites from an RCMP K9 unit member in late 2018 with RCMP tracked her and her boyfriend to the Chase River area, after they broke into cars near the Duke Point ferry terminal.

Anyone with information on Kloss’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, file number 2025-6740.
