Schedule locked in for 2025/26 Nanaimo Clippers season

Jul 20, 2025 | 10:55 AM

NANAIMO — The full 2025/26 regular season schedule for the Nanaimo Clippers is confirmed.

The first of 26 home dates at Frank Crane Arena will also open the team’s season on Sept. 19 as the Clippers host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the first leg of a home-and-home series between the two teams.

Nanaimo will play a vast majority of their games against in-conference teams, with only four currently scheduled contests against Interior division opponents.

The Clippers will welcome Salmon Arm on Oct.10 and West Kelowna on March 22, while their only Interior road games come Jan. 3 in Cranbrook and Feb. 16 in Vernon.

At home, the Clippers will play 19 times on Friday nights, four Saturday’s and one Sunday.

They’ll also play twice on a Wednesday, including the annual School Day game with a noon start and featuring students from local elementary schools.

The regular season finale is scheduled for March 29 when Nanaimo visits Victoria.

No Alberta-based teams, who made their full-season debut last year, will play in Nanaimo this season, nor will the Clippers travel to the Prairies.

Due to off-season team movement, including the Penticton Vees going to the Western Hockey League, Nanaimo will play an Island (or Powell River) opponent in the first two rounds of the playoffs, should they qualify.

A third-round matchup would serve as the Coastal Division Final, before the two best teams in the league fight for the Fred Page Cup in round four.

Two games are yet to be announced.

The league will host its annual showcase event in mid-October, with Nanaimo slated to play a pair of regular-season contests at a neutral-site venue.
