Hidden camera found in Nanaimo pool change room
NANAIMO — Police are looking to identify a person of interest after a video camera was installed inside a changing room of a busy Nanaimo recreational facility.
Nanaimo RCMP said a camera was located by staff at Nanaimo Aquatic Centre (NAC) on March 3 which was installed on the door of a change room.
Nanaimo RCMP Res. Cst. Gary O’Brien said the camera was installed on Saturday, January 18 and only captured images from that day.
“There were no images of children on the video. We have one where a victim had come forward, he’s an adult man. There’s a second individual who’s also an adult man, that person is unidentified, we believe that person may have information that can further the investigation.”
