Ottawa Senators forward Josh Norris out ‘a couple weeks’ with injury

NASHVILLE — Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green said forward Josh Norris will be out “a couple weeks” with a mid-body injury on Monday.

Norris exited Saturday’s 6-0 win against Minnesota after a big hit from Wild centre Jakub Lauko in the third period.

The 25-year-old from Oxford, Mich., has 19 goals and 12 assists in 50 games this season.

Norris had scored short-handed goals in back-to-back wins for the streaking Senators.

Ottawa (28-20-4) had won four consecutive games and held third place in the Atlantic Division heading into Monday’s matchup against the Nashville Predators.
