NANAIMO — Police are trying to identify the driver of a truck seen loading around $5,000 worth of tires into his vehicle mid-last month.

Mounties say a full set of all-season Kum Majesty 1/31 Solus KU50’s were stolen from the Kal-Tire location on Norwell Dr., adjacent to Country Club Centre at around 1 a.m. on Dec. 18.

Security camera footage captured a man driving to the business and loading the tires before driving away.

No formal description of the man has been offered by Mounties.

Police are hoping the images are able to connect them with the owner of the vehicle, and potentially the man seen in the video.

Anyway with information on the truck or the person involved is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250 754 2345.
