Whistler RCMP looks for family after 12-year old was found barefoot

WHISTLER, B.C. — The RCMP in British Columbia is asking for the public’s help finding a boy’s family after the barefoot youth was noticed wandering in Whistler alone.

Mounties in Whistler say they responded to a report of an unaccompanied child on Saturday night at Dairy Queen on Main Street where they found a boy to be barefoot and “completely non-verbal.”

The boy is described as approximately 12-years old with short brown hair and brown eyes.

He was found in a green T-shirt with a button collar and grey shorts.

Police say they investigated through the night, but there is still no clue of where the child came from or who his family is.

RCMP are asking the public to call them if they recognize the boy or know about his family.
