NANAIMO — Mounties in Nanaimo are looking for witnesses to an altercation between two male drivers, where one allegedly used a baseball to assault the other.

Police say on May 27 around 4:30 p.m. the driver of a red Honda Civic followed a white Hyundai into the parking lot of the 7-Eleven store at the corner of Fifth St. and Bruce Ave.

Both men got out of their vehicles, and that’s when police say the driver of the Civic hit the other man in the back with a baseball bat and then used the weapon to smash the man’s windshield.

The driver of the Hyundai suffered minor injuries, police stated.
