He’s twice been named the NFL’s top player and led the Kansas City Chiefs to a pair of Super Bowl titles but Patrick Mahomes earned another career first Sunday night.

Mahomes threw two touchdown passes to lead Kansas City past the Buffalo Bills for the first playoff road win of his illustrious seven-year career. Mahomes finished 17-of-23 passing for 215 yards in the contest.

Mahomes has twice led Kansas City to victory in the Super Bowl — and endured a championship loss — at neutral sites. But Sunday’s game at Highmark Stadium was his first truly designated post-season road game.

That didn’t deter Proline bettors, as 53 per cent had the Chiefs earning the win over the Bills while 43 took Kansas City +1.5. Also, 70 per cent of players had the over 46.5 total points.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions continued to roll along, downing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23. Sixty-two per cent of players had Detroit winning the game while 65 per cent picked Detroit -5.5 on the point spread.

And 70 per cent of bettors correctly took the over 48.5 total points.

The most popular player prop bet was Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield over 269.5 passing yards, and he threw for 346. The second-most popular wager was Rachaad White under 15.5 rushing attempts, and he had just nine carries.

In other playoff action, the San Francisco 49ers rallied to down the upstart Green Bay Packers 24-21. Fifty-three per cent of players took the 49ers to win while 49 per cent picked Green Bay +9.5 and 32 per cent correctly went with the under 50.5 total points.

The most popular player prop was San Francisco’s Christian McCaffrey over 92.5 rushing yards as he ran for 98 yards in the game.

The Baltimore Ravens put an end to the Houston Texans’ season with a 34-10 victory. Not surprisingly, 65 per cent of bettors correctly picked the Ravens to win while 45 per cent took Baltimore -9.5 on the point spread.

However only 29 per cent took the under 44.5 total points.

In NHL action Thursday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs rallied for a 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames. A whopping 86 per cent of players took Toronto to win while 78 per cent picked the over 6.5 total goals.

But just 22 per cent took Calgary +1.5 on the puck line market.

On Saturday night in Toronto, Dricus Du Plessis defeated Sean Strickland by decision to capture the UFC middleweight title. Fifty-three per cent of players took Du Plessis to win but 76 per cent correctly picked the fight to go the distance.

However, just 18 per cent had Raquel Pennington upsetting Mayra Bueno Silva in the co-main event.

A Proline digital customer turned a $2 seven-leg NHL parlay into a $1,672.12 win Saturday while a retail player won $3,276.10 on a $5 bet on a 10-leg NHL-NFL parlay.

Successfully picking a nine-leg NCAA basketball over/under parlay netted another digital player $4,477.89 on a $10 wager while a retail customer won $2,111.70 from a $20 wager on an eight-leg NFL parlay where the player successfully picked all point spreads and over-under correctly.
