SEATTLE — The Clippers were in a goal fest in their BCHL Showcase game against Trail.
Nanaimo lost 8-6 in an all out offensive battle.
Trail opened the scoring on a courter attack goal by Callas Pierce but the Clippers led 3-2 after the first period on markers by Willyam Gendron, Connor Haynes and Andrew Brown.
Haynes added another goal early in the middle frame but then the Clippers gave up a six goal run that saw the Smoke Eaters take an 8-4 lead into the late stages of the contest.
