KELOWNA, B.C. — Police say a man was seriously injured after being run over by a truck near a homeless camp in Kelowna, B.C.

RCMP say in a news release alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident early Sunday, just after midnight.

They say officers responded to a 911 call on the Rail Trail near Baillie Avenue.

They arrested the driver of a black Dodge Ram with an Alberta licence plate.
