Judge denies bail for accused Nanaimo murderer
NANAIMO — A woman charged with murdering her ex-boyfriend in Nanaimo lost her bid to be freed prior to going on trial.
Paris Jayanne Laroche, 26, was denied bail following a 35-minute decision read out by B.C. Supreme Court justice Elizabeth McDonald in Nanaimo on Thursday, July 28.
Laroche is charged with first degree murder in connection to the death of Sidney Joseph Mantee, 32.
