B.C. reports 1,052 new cases of COVID-19, 10 more deaths

VANCOUVER — British Columbia has reported 1,052 new cases of COVID-19 and ten more deaths, pushing the death toll in the province from the novel coronavirus to 2,303.

The Health Ministry says 3,132 infections are active across the province, including 337 people in hospital with 115 in intensive care.

The ministry says in a statement that more than 87 per cent of eligible B.C. residents over 12 have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, while almost 91 per cent have had one shot. 

It says there are no new health-care facility outbreaks reported, but outbreaks are active in 12 health-care facilities.
