Woman assaulted by unknown male jogger in Linley Valley
NANAIMO — Local police are investigating an assault on a north Nanaimo running trail involving a woman pushed to the ground and aggressively held by a male suspect.
It happened on Tuesday, Nov 9 at 11:20 a.m. in Linley Valley Cottle Lake Park off Burma Rd.
A Nanaimo RCMP news release stated a black dog, believed to be a standard poodle or similar breed with a cropped tail, approached and accidentally tripped a female jogger.
She called out to the owner, who police said then stopped running, approach the woman and “violently pushed her to the ground.”
