NANAIMO — The Clippers dropped both games on their Interior road trip in Trail and Cranbrook.

In their first ever meeting with the Bucks all the scoring happened in the third period with Nanaimo falling 4-1.

Cooper Black and Cranbrook netminder Nathan Airey were both perfect through the first 40 minutes.

Goals 15 seconds apart by Andrew King and Brendan Rogers staked the Bucks to a 2-0 lead and by the midway mark of the third Cranbrook was up by three.

Jeremie Payant snapped home the Clippers only goal on a late third period play before an empty netter capped the scoring.

The shots finished 36-36 with Nanaimo going 1/4 on the power play and 4/5 on the penalty kill.

The Clippers surrendered 3-0 leads in both weekend road games and have now lost back to back for the first time this season.

A busy week is on the horizon with a home date with Cowichan Valley Nov. 3, a Nov. 5 visit from Penticton and a Nov. 6 game in Alberni Valley.
