Quebec reports 644 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths as hospitalizations remain stable

MONTREAL — Quebec is reporting 644 new cases of COVID-19 today and two more deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus.

COVID-19-related hospitalizations remained unchanged compared with the day before, at 298, and 76 people were in intensive care, a rise of one.

Quebec’s public health institute says 90 per cent of residents 12 and up have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 86.8 per cent are considered adequately vaccinated.  

Officials say 11,774 doses of vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours.
