Canadian featherweight Felicia Spencer booked on UFC Fight Night card in November

Canadian featherweight Felicia (FeeNom) Spencer will take on Leah (Nidas) Letson on the undercard of a UFC Fight Night show Nov. 13 in Las Vegas.

Spencer (8-3-0) is coming off a split decision to Brazilian Norma (The Immortal) Dumont in May. Dumont (6-1-0) replaced the injured Danyelle Wolf on the card at the UFC’s Apex production facility. Two of the three judges gave Spencer the third round, with one also awarding her the second.

It marked the first outing for the Montreal-born Spencer, who now calls Orlando home, since June 2020 when she lost a decision to featherweight champion Amanda (Lioness) Nunes at UFC 250.

After winning her first seven bouts, the 30-year-old Spencer has now lost three of her last four — albeit against championship-calibre opposition in Nunes and Cris Cyborg (at UFC 240 in July 2019). Spencer is 2-3-0 in the UFC.

Letson (5-1-0) has not fought since November 2018 when she won her UFC debut in a split decision over Lithuania’s Julija Stoliarenko. The 29-year-old Letson was a cast member on Season 28 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” making it to the semifinals of the reality TV show.

Letson has been sidelined by a thyroid issue, among other health problems due to overtraining.

The main event on the November card sees former featherweight champion (Blessed) Max Holloway, now ranked the No. 1 contender among 145-pounders, face No. 3 Yair Rodriguez.
