Just 1 new COVID-19 case found in Island Health as vaccine rollout ramps up
NANAIMO — Island Health hit a low not seen since October, 2020 in the fight against COVID-19.
Just one new case of the virus was confirmed by Island Health on Tuesday, June 1. The last time Island Health saw one or less cases was on Oct. 30, right before large increases in the second wave.
The one case was in the north Vancouver Island area, where seven are currently active.
Four people in the central Vancouver Island area and one to the south recovered.
