Canadian Cyle Larin adds to goal total with Besiktas in Turkey’s Super Lig

ISTANBUL — Canadian Cyle Larin added to his goal total in Turkey on Friday, scoring in Besiktas’ 3-2 win over Istanbul Basaksehir in Super Lig play.

The 25-year-old from Brampton, Ont., opened the scoring in the 42nd minute with fellow Canadian Atiba Hutchinson playing provider.

French fullback Valentin Rozier found Hutchinson, who outmuscled a defender and headed to the byline where he angled a cross back into the penalty box. Besiktas forward Vincent Aboubakar faked a shot, sending the ball forward instead to Larin, whose backheel deflected off a defender into the goal.
