Nanaimo ferry routes cancelled due to high winds

NANAIMO — No one will take off or arrive from Nanaimo on a ferry for the rest of Friday.
BC Ferries announcing the sailings to and from both the Departure Bay and Duke Point terminals are cancelled for the remainder of Friday, Jan. 26.
Winds throughout the Strait of Georgia are expected to gust upwards of 90 kilometres per hour until early Saturday morning.
High winds previously cancelled sailings on the routes earlier on Friday.
