U.S. snow snarls COVID-19 vaccine delivery; Quebec, Ontario report fewer in hospital

Snowy weather south of the border is snarling vaccine deliveries as Canada’s two biggest provinces are reporting a drop in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

Shipping company UPS temporarily closed its operations in Kentucky earlier this week after a big snowfall.

Heath Canada says provinces can expect to receive shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at least a day behind schedule, but all 400,000 doses should be in Canada by Friday.

Meanwhile, Ontario is reporting 23 fewer people in hospital with the novel coronavirus and Quebec officials say there are five fewer COVID-19 patients in that province.
