NANAIMO — Police are looking for a Nanaimo woman charged with over a dozen criminal code offences, including possessing stolen property and fraudulent activity.

Numerous arrest warrants were issued for Stevie Daniele Pirart, 28, after she missed a Jan. 26 appearance in provincial court in Nanaimo.

She’s facing seven charges of possession of stolen property over $5,000, along with a range of fraud and related charges and breaching conditions for alleged offences in 2019.

RCMP Cst. Gary O’Brien said most of the charges Pirart faces relate to her arrest in Nanaimo in June, 2019 when police discovered her sleeping in the back of a rental vehicle.

“A search of her and the U-Haul revealed a number of stolen items, including wallets and credit cards, many were stolen from the View Royal area and also theft from vehicles in Nanaimo where wallets were stolen.”

O’Brien said Pirart allegedly provided a fake name to Nanaimo RCMP and to rent the U-Haul.

Pirart stands 5’9”, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of flowers on her left forearm and MCALL BFF, while Pirart has a crown on her right forearm.

Police say she is the subject of 10 police investigations.

Mounties believe Pirart is residing in the central island area.

O’Brien said this case underscores the importance of not leaving wallets in vehicles.

“They contain a treasure trove of information for criminals that can be used for identity theft, renting vehicles, etcetera.”

Anybody with information on the whereabouts of Stevie Pirart is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file number 2020-22387.
