Two motorbike riders hurt in late afternoon collision in Nanaimo

NANAIMO — Witnesses say a driver attempting to turn onto Labieux Rd. hit a motorbike with two men aboard.

It happened just before 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30 on Labieux Rd. at Blackburn Pl, one block north of the Jingle Pot Rd. intersection.

“A car came off Blackburn, just as the car came out, they hit instantly,” witness Cory Scott told NanaimoNewsNOW on scene, who said the motorbike was traveling north on Labieux.

Another witness said both motorbike riders were fully responsive and wearing helmets.
