NANAIMO — A single-vehicle wreck on Terminal Ave. left a car flipped on its roof and both people inside leaving the scene.

It happened Wednesday 8:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Pearson St. Bridge north of Comox Ave., where Cst. Gary O’Brien said witnesses saw the newer model Ford Mustang lost control and flip after cutting off another vehicle.

“For unknown reasons two of the passengers left and fled the scene before police arrived. We later made contact with the driver, who made a short statement to police.”

O’Brien said both occupants were unhurt in the crash.
