Drivers re-trained after dump truck snags same Nanaimo power lines one month apart
NANAIMO — WorkSafe BC is satisfied the company responsible for dragging utility lines and snapping power poles in south Nanaimo won’t make the same mistake for a third time.
A WorkSafe BC report focused on a June 26 incident of a dump truck’s raised bucket dragging utility lines northbound on Old Victoria Rd. near Seventh St.
A dump truck bucket left up produced similar results on May 25, which saw a dump truck roll over as opposed to remaining upright in the second incident.
Nobody was hurt on either occasion, which caused power and traffic disruptions in the vicinity.
