Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed for Vancouver Island

NANAIMO — Two new cases of COVID-19 on Vancouver Island are bucking a nearly two month trend.

The new cases are the first time since May 21 more than one case was confirmed by provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

The two new cases were announced in a joint statement released Friday from Dr. Henry and health minister Adrian Dix.

They bring the Island total to 135.
