NANAIMO — The number of COVID-19 cases in the province have both risen and fallen.

A joint statement from provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and health minister Adrian Dix confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19, while also retracting six reported cases.

Those six were identified as residents of another province. They’ll now be considered in the counts from their home province.

This leaves 162 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C.
